Taiwan’s First Ever Clean Room for Hydrogen Water Production

【新唐人亞太台 2017 年 12 月 08 日訊】Step by step, water is hydrogenated. Right here this is the only clean room in Taiwan for the production of hydrogen water. With the 4th-generation production equipment imported directly from Japan, the production line take care of everything, from hydrogenation of water to packaging.

Lo Chuan, general manager of a hydrogen water company: “The 4th-generation equipment, compared to the previous generation, increases the amount of hydrogen by 0.3 to 0.4 ppm. And our aluminum package has also undergone special redesign. Before the shelf life was six month, now it is one year.”

Lo Chuan, general manager of a hydrogen water company: “If the color of the water turns blue, it means that the hydrogen content is zero.”

The water undergoes random test to see if it meets the standard. In fact, sui su is the Japanese word for hydrogen, which can suppress oxidation and prevent aging. To extend the life of hydrogen in water, the Taiwanese company incorporated a very special technology from Yoshihiroyamada, a hydrogen water specialist in Japan, to create its own hydrogen water production facility. The special technology can dissolve hydrogen into water without electrolysis, while generating a high redox potential. This is what makes up the fourth-generation hydrogen production production line, and it is here in Taiwan.

Yoshihiroyamada, hydrogen water specialist in Japan: “Most important of all is the quality of the water. The water here has many different minerals, which is something that we don’t see often in Japan. This is the most important reason.”

Eight years ago, it was Lo,Che-Chung, the father of general manager Lo Chuan, who first came to know about hydrogen water. The senior Lo,Che-Chung decided to visit Japan and learned about the water. It was there that the senior Liu met Yoshihiroyamada and the two has since established a special relationship. What has brought the two together is senior Liu’s aboriginal background, and the discovery of natural water source at Wuzhi Mountain, part of Taiwan’s best known Snow Mountain. Inside the caves of Wuzhi, natural springs, 400-meter deep reaching the silicate layer, provide top-quality water, which has since been sold to Japan.

Lo Chuan, general manager of a hydrogen water company: “We took samples from different water sources and had them tested in Japan. And the test on the water from Wuzhi showed that it is rich with silicon and zinc. This is very unique for water. So, people from Japan decided to enter into a technical cooperation with us.”

Yoshihiroyamada, hydrogen water specialist in Japan: “Lo,Che-Chung has established an indigenous people foundation. And he wanted to partner the foundation with a suitable industry. So it came the idea of technology transfer.”

Lo Chuan took reporters with him and showed them the source for his company’s water. The land used to be a mining field, but now it has clean water pouring out from underground. To obtain natural water, a factory was built inside the forest, and the company has rented 11 jia of land, for the right to use the land’s water. The natural water then undergoes through the procedure of 10 filtering steps, transportation to the clean room, hydrogenation process, and high-temperature sterilization. Then every single package is manually checked first, and then tested for pressure. The complete hydrogen water production line has attracted visitors from the the government, industry, and academia.

Lo Chuan, general manager of a hydrogen water company: “In fact my father has kept on reminding me with the idea that, we all hope that everyone can drink good, clean water. Because this hydrogen water was mostly a Japanese product, and hydrogenation process was all done in Japan. So I was thinking why it couldn’t be made in Taiwan. I was hoping that everyone could be drinking from good water.”

The company now has the technology to produce hydrogen water-300ml with 1.0 to 1.6 ppm of H2. During hydrogenation process the H2 content can top 3.0 to 4.0 ppm. Additionally, the hydrogen content in water remains high after exposure to air, maintaining a steady concentration up to 8 hours. The company’s water is now being sold to China, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, and Japan.

Lo Chuan, general manager of a hydrogen water company: “Taiwan is known for great mountains and top-quality water. So I hope to, through this patented technology from Japan, can allow Taiwan to make its own hydrogen water. So it can a unique beacon of light for Taiwan.”

Taking up what his father believes in, Lo Chuan has taken what was Japanese technology for manufacturing hydrogen water, and built on it here in Taiwan, creating Taiwan’s own brand of hydrogen water, and marketing it to the entire world.
