On Wednesday, Japan arrested the captain of a Chinese fishing boat that collided with two Japanese coast guard boats near the disputed islets in the East China Sea.

週三，日本在中國東海附近的爭端小島，逮捕了與兩艘日本海岸巡防船碰撞的中國漁船船長。

Japan's top government spokesman explained the arrest at a news conference.

日本高層發言人，於新聞發佈會上說明逮捕的始末。

"The Japanese Coast Guard issued an arrest warrant to the captain of the Chinese vessel anchored nine kilometers north of Uozuri islands on September 8th for obstructing the performance of a public duty."

日本海岸防衛隊在九月八日，對停泊在釣魚島外海九海浬處中國船隻的船長，發佈逮捕令，因為妨礙公務執行。

The incident took place near a group of East China Sea islets – called Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu Island in China. Tokyo, Beijing and Taiwan each claim the islands as their own.

事件發生在中國東海群島的附近，在日本它們稱做尖閣諸島，在中國稱為钓魚台群島，東京、北京及台灣都宣稱這些群島歸他們所有。

A spokesman from Japan’s coast guard says that no one was injured during the arrest.

日本海岸防衛發言人表示，沒有人員在逮捕過程中受傷。

He added the captain of the Chinese boat has been transported to the southern Japanese island of Ishigaki for questioning.

他強調，中國船長將會轉送至日本南方石垣島嶼進行詢問。
