The search is on for the body of abalone diver Peter Clarkson.

Forty nine-year-old Clarkson was surfacing off the coast of South Australia on Thursday when two sharks attacked him.

49歲的克拉克森週四在南澳大利亞外海浮潛時，兩條鯊魚襲擊他。

Authorities believe the sharks were great whites, and that Clarkson's chances of having survived the attack are slim to nil.

"He is presumed dead, however we will continue searching until proven otherwise."

Local media reports say the skipper who saw Clarkson being attacked is being treated for shock.

Great whites can reach lengths of up to 20 feet, and can weigh as much as two tons.
