Congo Explosion Reveals CCP’s Labor Scandal

On March 4th, a series of explosions shocked Brazzaville,

capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Local government claimed that the explosions were caused by

an electrical short circuit in the arsenal.

Over 200 deaths were caused, with hundreds more injured.

The Chinese government confirmed 6 Chinese workers were killed with 1 missing.

The incident again triggered public criticism and

concern over CCP’s disregard for Chinese workers’ safety.

Also of the CCP’s assistance to the authoritarian

military government in the Congo.

The powerful explosions raised many houses to the ground.

Panic-stricken and fearful, many residents rushed into the streets.

It was reported even windows and roofs were destroyed in

the Capital Kinshasa, many miles away from the site.

CCP’s mouthpiece Xinhua News Agency reported, 140 Workers

of the Beijing Construction Engineering Group were there.

It was reported they were building 200 units of military

apartments when the explosions occurred.

Zhang Jianzhong, founder of Anti-corruption Volunteers Website said,

Security issues of Chinese overseas workers are imminent.

Chinese interest groups regard workers as tools for profit.

When workers die or get injured, their compensation is way

below the international standard.

Chinese interest groups simply have no regard for Chinese

workers’ lives, treating them like insects.

Zhang Jianping, editor of Rights Movement Website said,

China’s assistance to the military government in the Congo

(Brazzaville) is a scandal in the international community.

Zhang Jianping also said: “CCP helps such a country

to manufacture explosives which caused these explosions.

It shows no responsibility to its own workers.

It is clear that this is a scandal in the international community.”

Some netizens criticized CCP, saying that within its 61 years in

power, it spent over 250 billion Yuan on “stupid foreign aid.”

Most of the countries receiving assistance turned against China.

Zhao Jingzhou, social activist from Heilongjiang said, CCP's

so-called foreign aid is in fact for its own sake. It even sent spies along with the overseas workers.

Zhao Jingzhou: “CCP is not providing aid to these countries,

but colluding with them.

As long as the countries are not democratic states, they can

become CCP’s allies. CCP is quickly losing its “old friends”,

and has to seek new friends amongst the smaller countries.

It offers them money to win support for CCP’s rule in China.”

Bian Hexiang, chairman of Coalition of Guards for American

Values, criticized CCP for being notorious in disregarding its overseas workers.

It is usually Labor Unions that protect workers rights, but China

does not have any independent labor unions for its workers.

The purported labor unions in China are but branches of CCP,

unable to fight for workers' welfare.

Bian Hexiang said: “Chinese workers lack two basic rights:

right to strike and the right of independent labor union.

Without these rights, there is no guarantee for other such rights

as security, wages, etc.

No organization can speak for them,

no lawyers can represent them---they are indeed slave labor.”

Bian pointed out CCP wants to be an authoritarian leader

amongst its allies.

It tries to extend its life by supporting such countries as North Korea,

Vietnam, Congo, Sudan, Cuba and other authoritarian brothers.

Bian Hexiang also claims: “CCP likes to be friend of

authoritarian governments, including military governments.

It only seeks to extend its autocratic rule.

If alone in the world, it cannot maintain its authoritarian rule,

so it assists other lingering dictators for mutual support.”

After the explosions, Congo (Brazzaville) deployed troops and

tanks around the presidential palace.

It is reported that residents in the Eastern part of the city are fleeing.
