UK Media Focus On Bo Case

Several major British media continue to focus on the murder

of a British citizen in China, and surrounding political scandal.

Chinese Politburo member Li Changchun

is now visiting Britain.

In a meeting with Li Changchun, British Prime Minister

David Cameron mentioned the murder of British businessmen Neil Heywood.

Heywood's death in Chongqing is related to illicit funds.

It is also reported that Gu Kailai, wife of Bo Xilai, former

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Secretary in Chongqing,

“killed a British man to protect their property secrets”.

Heywood had helped Gu to transfer funds overseas, and asked

for a high commission, deteriorating his relationship with Gu.

BBC Chinese recently quoted major British media reports

about former CCP secretary Bo Xilai in Chongqing, China,

his wife Gu Kailai, and the murder of British businessmen

Neil Heywood.

It also disclosed the scandal within the CCP political arena.

The British newspaper The Independent reported that CCP

Politburo member Li Changchun is currently visiting Britain.

British Prime Minister David Cameron met with Li

and mentioned Heywood's murder.

Hu Ping, Editor in Chief of Beijing Spring magazine said:

"Up to now, the development of Bo Xilai's case is related

to this thing very closely.

The British Government would bring up this issue directly

to the Chinese authorities.

The Chinese authorities do not have much room on it.

At the beginning, many even wanted to protect Bo.

If you face Bo's case and reveal him, it is tantamount

to washing their dirty linen in public.

Hu Ping said that if the CCP won't punish Bo Xilai

who has rampant and bad lawlessness issues, even corruption

and murder, it is equal to telling the world that the CCP is

a group of gangs. So the CCP must deal with it.

Hu Ping: "Considering reasons why these newspapers

published this news, it (CCP) believes there is another source.

That is, the materials Wang Lijun left in the U.S. consulate.

So the CCP had to take these actions as we see today,

and it knows that these things cannot be hidden."

It is reported that the death of Heywood and the criminal

investigation of Bo Xilai, have become the CCP's largest

political scandals, and even affect the 18th National People's

Congress Conference.

Zhang Xinyu, founder of the global free-information

movement website said that

the Communist authorities now have to consider what

information disclosure is the most advantageous to the regime.

Zhang Xinyu: "In dealing with Bo Xilai, the CCP Central

Committee will consider what approach to take, or what

information is most favourable for the regime's stability.

They are considering this issue.

They would not release it all.

So evidently, they may basically think that Bo Xilai's case is

better to be a criminal case. This is what it (CCP) is doing."

Zhang Xinyu said the British Government is elected by

citizens. The UK is a democratic country with a legal system.

Their society works in accordance with the rules, and human

life and human rights are placed in the first place.

For a democratic country, a citizen murdered in a foreign

country is a serious matter.

So the British Government will definitely question the CCP.

Hu Ping said no matter how the CCP deals with cases related

to Bo Xilai, it will greatly damage the image of the CCP.

People realize that the CCP is actually so bad.
