=====

CCP in Crisis: Imminent Dissolution

July 1 is the 90th anniversary of the founding of

the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

As the CCP』s celebration is drawing to a close,

all areas of Chinese society are crisis-ridden.

There is corruption, an enormous wealth gap,

environmental pollution, moral depravity,

and prevalence of fake goods.

Discontent is widespread and is about to explode.

Scholars point out that the CCP authorities

are facing a most serious and urgent crisis.

On June 29, 108 choruses of 40,000 singers

from across China gathered in Chongqing City

to hold a "red" (Communist) song concert.

CCP Secretary of Chongqing, Bo Xilai, was present.

Similar large concerts were held in other places.

U.S.-based writer and Yale University lecturer,

Kang Zhengguo, recently said that "This trend

can be likened to 『collective spirit possession.』

It reveals the corrupt regime』s perverse nature and

signals the end of the CCP』s red dynasty."

On June 26, Guangdong provincial CCP secretary,

Wang Yang, said, "It is more important to address

China』s woes than just praising the CCP."

He also suggested learning from past mistakes.

His comments may be the result of internal power

struggles taking place within the CCP.

Jiang Weiping, ex-journalist of Wen Wei Po:

"Wang Yang advocates addressing China』s woes,

while Bo Xilai advocates singing lots of red songs.

These two view points show how two different

CCP factions go about solving the same issues."

Recently, the CCP』s Central TV has been

broadcasting the 10-episode documentary, “Banner,"

which praises the CCP and the things the CCP did.

The documentary is divided into three parts.

Gao Wenqian, ex-committee member of

the CCP Central Literature Research Center:

"The CCP has divided its history into three parts.

Firstly, under the guise of 『revolution,』 the CCP

took 『public possession』 of private property

and deprived the owners of their property and rights.

Secondly, the CCP privatized these public properties

to line the pockets of its officials.

Thirdly, the CCP seals people』s lips to

『maintain stability and harmony.』"

The CCP has launched numerous bloody political

campaigns resulting in over 80 million deaths,

which surpasses the death toll of both World Wars.

So far, the number of people that publically quit

the CCP and its affiliated organizations

on The Epoch Times website, is over 97 million.

This great wave of quitting the CCP was set off by

“The Nine Commentaries On the Communist Party,"

which is expected to eventually disintegrate the CCP

and lead people towards spiritual awakening.

Yi Rong, chair of the Global Service Center

for Quitting the CCP, said:

"The CCP has also seen its own end.

It is so afraid of the great 『quit the CCP』 wave,

that it decided to nationalization the army.

In fact, many soldiers have already quit the Party.

Chinese people of all social strata have quit the CCP.

Dr. Wang Juntao of Columbia University said,

"About 370,000 people participated in mass protests.

Most of them were involved in violence.

This shows that Deng Xiaoping』s model of

『maintaining stability by using force』 is problematic."

The CCP』s cost to "maintain stability through force"

has exceeded China』s national defense budget.

But group protests and bombings are on the rise.

Yu Jianrong of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

said that people at the grassroots level feel hopeless,

due to social injustices and institutional corruption.

Dr. Xia Ming of City University of New York said:

"Bo Xilai recently said major events would occur.

As its 90th anniversary approaches, the CCP must

think: 『How long can the CCP live?』

In my opinion, it should be filled with a sense of fear."

Hong Kong's China analyst, Li Chongguang, wrote:

"The top leaders in the CCP need to decide

whether to reform the CCP, like European socialist

parties did after WWII, or face utter destruction

like the Soviet Union did."

NTD reporters Chang Chong, Li Yuanhan and Xiao Yu.
