The Cannes film festival opened on Wednesday with the world premier of Hollywood’s "Robin Hood".

星期三，坎城影展由世界著名的好萊塢鉅片〈羅賓漢〉揭開序幕。

The movie’s lead actor Russell Crowe and actress Cate Blanchett joined other stars from around the world on the red carpet for the glittering opening ceremony of the 63rd annual film festival in Cannes, France.

這部電影的男主角羅素克洛和女星凱特布蘭琪，連同其他來自世界各地的明星，走在紅地毯上準備參加眾星雲集的開幕典禮，迎接第63屆一年一度在法國坎城舉行的影展。

Blanchett wore a dress by late British designer Alexander McQueen for her film's French Riviera opening.

布蘭琪身穿一襲晚禮服，是由已故英國設計師亞歷山大麥昆、為了她的電影〈法國里維埃拉〉的首映會開幕式所設計的。

“Robin Hood” is one of few U.S. titles at this year's Cannes festival. The movie is an epic adventure that seeks to explain how the hero of legend becomes an outlaw robbing the rich to feed the poor.

〈羅賓漢〉是今年坎城影展中少數參展的美國鉅片之ㄧ。這部電影是一部冒險史詩片，試圖述說一位傳奇的英雄人物如何變成俠盜劫富濟貧。

The sole U.S. entry is Doug Liman's "Fair Game", starring Naomi Watts as Valerie Plame, the CIA agent whose cover was blown in 2003, and Sean Penn.

美國這次唯一入圍的影片是道格李蒙的〈公平遊戲〉，由娜歐蜜華茲飾演一位中央情報局特務普拉姆，在 2003年臥底身分遭到洩漏，另外西恩潘飾演他的丈夫。

Oliver Stone and Woody Allen brought their latest films to France but not in competition.

奧力佛史東和伍迪艾倫，帶來他們最新的作品到法國參展，不過並沒有參賽。

Stone's "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps", could become the talk of the festival, as it focuses on corruption and greed at the world's biggest banks.

史東的〈華爾街：金錢萬歲〉，成為這次影展的話題，因為聚焦在世上最大銀行裡的腐敗和貪婪。

The event drew in other celebrities including actresses Eva Longoria and Helen Mirren, and director Tim Burton.

此次影展也吸引其他名人，包括女演員伊娃隆格莉亞和海倫米蘭，和導演提姆波頓。

Over the next 11 days, 19 films will be judged.
